Gröndal Apartment, Stockholm

Located in a former factory building from the 1940s, this apartment was developed as a personal project, focusing on working with the existing qualities of the space to create a calm and coherent living environment.

Surfaces were refreshed throughout — floors sanded and whitewashed, and walls, ceilings, and details repainted or adjusted to bring clarity and continuity. The kitchen, originally from a previous renovation, was retained and integrated into the overall design, with small updates to handles and fixtures refining its presence rather than replacing it. In the bathroom, minor adjustments were made to improve function and atmosphere. Furniture combines inherited pieces, pre-loved finds, and selected new elements, brought together in a restrained and balanced composition.

The result is a home shaped through careful interventions, where existing conditions and new additions coexist in a modern and considered whole.
